The Gateway® Trade-In Program powered by Dealtree

As a recent Gateway customer, you can get cash for your pre-owned, working technology products. Or, you can recycle your used computer or electronics in accordance with environmental best practices.

How the Gateway® Trade-In Program Works

It's easy to trade-in your product. Just follow these simple steps:

• Step 1 -- Use the Trade-In Estimator to receive an instant estimate.
• Step 2 -- Register for a Trade-In account and sign in.
• Step 3 -- Pack and ship your items to our trade-in warehouse.
  Include a proof of purchase of any Gateway or eMachines product
• Step 4 -- After receipt and verification of your items, Dealtree will issue you a check per the outlined Terms and Conditions.

Trade-In Confirmation
After completing the trade-in form, you can expect to receive an e-mail confirmation of your request. We recommend that you keep a copy for your records. This message will confirm the item(s) you are trading in, the estimated value, recycling fee if applicable, and an estimate number.

You have 30 days from the day you completed your request to send your trade-in product to DealTree. The product must be shipped by the date noted on the label. If you experience technical difficulties, please contact Trade-In Support.

Gateway provides consumers and businesses with environmentally safe options for the disposal of used computer systems. In order to help our customers handle the disposal of used equipment, Gateway and Dealtree are dedicated to ensuring best practices for recycling and data protection.

How the Gateway® Recycle Program Works

Gateway is also a founding member of the Rethink Initiative. The Rethink Initiative offers a fresh perspective on the challenge of e-waste, making it easy to recycle used computers and electronics and allowing potentially hazardous materials to be disposed of safely and reusable materials to be salvaged.

	Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition (SVTC) - This grassroots coalition engages in research and advocacy to help find solutions to e-waste concerns. SVTC helped found, and works with, the Computer Take Back Campaign. The Computer Take Back Campaign promotes corporate accountability for electronic waste and publishes a list of companies that provide responsible recycling programs for computers and electronics.
	Earth 911 - A nonprofit organization with detailed listings of reuse and recycling centers specializing in computers and electronics. By entering your ZIP code on the site you can find your nearest electronics recycling event/location.
